HIRING OF HACKNEY CARRIAGES, FARES, &c.

Fares to be paid by distance if not expressed otherwise at the time of hiring.

Drivers are not compelled to take a fare by time after 8 p.m. or before 6 a.m.

No agreement with drivers to pay more than legal fare is binding; the excess of fare may be recovered.

Hirer refusing to pay the fare may be committed to prison.

When two horses are used, one-third above the usual fare is to be paid.
