THE CASUALTY LISTS.

These lists, originally compiled in Battalion Orderly Room as the casualties were reported, have now been checked with Records. It is too much to hope that they are absolutely correct, but the compilers have done all they can to correct mistakes.

The following signs and abbreviations have been used:—

✠K. in A.—Killed in Action.
✠D. of W.—Died of wounds received in action—the first date that of the wounds; the second the death.
R.P. of W.—Prisoner of war (returned)—the date being that of capture.
W.—Wounded.
N.T.—An entry in the Battalion Roll which the Record Office cannot trace—probably owing to the number being that by which a man was known in another Battalion.
