The Widow's Mites.
AND now the Lord was sitting where
He could the people see
As they cast their gifts of money
Into the treasury.
And many rich cast in large sums;
Then came a widow, poor,
And she threw in two mites, which make
One farthing, and no more.
Then the Lord called His disciples
And said to them: "Verily,
This poor widow has cast the most
Into the treasury.
"For all they, of their abundance,
Offered, some less, some more,
But she, of want and penury,
Did cast in all her store."
