A Fierce Duel
After exchanging shots, when Teach (Blackbeard) was wounded they drew their swords and fiercely attacked each other. Maynard’s sword broke in his hand and had it not been for one of his own men, who wounded Blackbeard in the throat, the duel would have ended then.
