Here's the farmer with his poultry,
Clear the way, oh! clear the way!
Oh! the noisy, noisy creatures,
Listen now to what they say.
The geese are hissing "Sss,—sss,—sss!"
The hens are calling "Cluck, cluck, cluck!"
The chickens answer "Peep, peep, peep!"
And the rooster, with the gay red comb,
Says "Cock-a-doodle-doo!"
