MASON AND DIXON COOKIES
One cup of brown sugar,
One-half cup of melted shortening,
One egg,
One-half cup of sweet milk,
One-half teaspoonful of soda sifted with flour,
One and one-half cups of flour,
One-half cup of chopped raisins,
One-half cup of chopped nuts,
One-half teaspoonful of salt,
Three squares of melted chocolate.
Mix in order given and bake in moderate oven.
