Royal Cup.

Dissolve two tablespoonfuls fine sugar with a little water in a punch-bowl, add the juice of one orange, the juice of half a lemon, one jigger brandy, one pony curaçoa, one pony maraschino, a few slices of pineapple, orange and lemon; pour on this one bottle of claret, then add three or four good-sized lumps of clear ice; mix well, and when cold add one bottle of plain soda and one bottle of iced champagne. Mix and serve.
