EXCEPTIONS TO GENERAL RULES OF CARRIAGE
Garden Furniture (Exclusive of Rollers, Mowers, etc.). Delivered free to most stations in England if of the value of 45/0, exclusive of packages. Also to Dublin, Belfast, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Isle of Man, and Channel Islands, if of the value of £5 10s. 0d., exclusive of packages. Goods for Isle of Wight carriage paid to Southampton if of 45/0 value.
Wire Netting delivered free in lots of 70/0 to any station in England and Wales direct from Works. Special prices for Ireland and Scotland. Exact size of mesh cannot be guaranteed, but is the same as accepted by the Trade.
WIRE NETTING IS NOT INCLUDED WITH OTHER GOODS CARRIAGE PAID, UNLESS OF ABOVE VALUE.
Mats are charged cost price, and are not returnable.
Packing for Greenhouses, Summer-houses, Melon Frames, Plant Preservers, Dog and Poultry Appliances, allowed two-thirds if returned carriage paid and in good condition.
Sewing Machines.—Carriage paid on Sewing Machines under the value of £2 to any Railway Station within 100 miles of Harrods. The value of £3 and over to any Railway Station in England and Wales and Channel Islands. Value £4 to any Railway Station in the United Kingdom.
Cases allowed full price if returned carriage paid within one month, with address of sender attached.
Lawn Mowers (Sent Direct from Makers).
Carriage paid to principal stations in England, Scotland and Ireland.
Wringing Machines, Portable Coppers and Washing Machines
Special terms for carriage given on application.
Carrier’s Sheet.—Customers are particularly requested, if unable to examine Contents of Consignments at time of delivery, to sign the Carrier’s Delivery Sheet “Not Examined,” so that claim on the Carrier can be maintained should goods be damaged.
Empty Cases, etc., returned to Harrods should bear the name and address of sender, and should also be advised by post.
Estimates Free
For goods to be made to order and all kinds of repairs, etc. Harrods’ printed Estimate form only can be recognised.
A deposit of one quarter the estimated amount is required on any article to be made to a Customer’s order, unless such customer has a deposit account with Harrods.
Perambulators and Baby Carriages
Carriage paid if within the delivery radius of our own Carts. For the Country, special prices will be quoted according to distance.
REPAIRS
Special attention is paid to all kinds of Repairs, goods being called for and returned by our Carts, daily.
Estimates for the repair of Baths, Knife Machines, Mincing Machines, and every kind of Household Machinery. A special feature is made of the re-tinning of all kinds of Copper Goods, which can be returned in many cases the same day.
A COMPETENT MAN WILL BE SENT TO TAKE INSTRUCTIONS FOR REPAIRS.

A charge will be made for collecting and delivering Wringing, Mangling, or Washing Machines, or any other heavy or exceptional article sent for repairs, whether estimate be accepted or not.
