Cook sugar, glucose and water on hot fire to 275 or 280. Then pour it on well greased slab or platter, which has previously been covered with figs cut up, or dates with seeds removed, putting in just as many as you wish. You may also, if you wish, use nuts of any description in place of the fruit, or part of each.
