Changes:
Illustrations have been moved outside text paragraphs. Footnotes have been moved to directly underneath the paragraph in which they are referenced.
Some minor obvious typographical and punctuation errors have been corrected silently.
In multiplications and dimensions, x and × have been standardised to ×.
