255. L. M. S. Streeter.

The Hiding-place.

1A King shall reign in righteousness,

And all the kindred nations bless;

The King of Salem, King of peace,--

Nor shall his spreading kingdom cease.

2In him the naked soul shall find

A hiding-place from chilling wind;

Or, when the raging tempests beat,

A covert warm, a safe retreat.

3In burning sands and thirsty ground,

He like a river shall be found,

Or lofty rock, beneath whose shade

The weary traveller rests his head.

4The dimness gone, all eyes shall see

His glory, grace, and majesty;

All ears shall hearken, and the word

Of life receive from Christ the Lord.
