The Joy and Blessing of Worship.

1Lord, how delightful 'tis to see

A whole assembly worship thee;

At once they sing, at once they pray,

They hear of heaven and learn the way.

2O, write upon our memory, Lord,

The text and doctrines of thy word:

That we may break thy laws no more,

But love thee better than before.

Close of Worship.

1Part in peace! is day before us?

Praise his name for life and light;

Are the shadows lengthening o'er us?

Bless His care who guards the night.

2Part in peace! with deep thanksgiving,

Rendering, as we homeward tread,

Gracious service to the living,

Tranquil memory to the dead.

3Part in peace! such are the praises

God, our Maker, loveth best;

Such the worship that upraises

Human hearts to heavenly rest.
