This text is a verbatim representation of the original 18th century English. It retains all inconsistent spellings, but obvious mistakes have been corrected. The errata at the end of the book have been applied to the text. All these corrections have been noted in the colophon. The long s (ſ) has been replaced with a normal s throughout the text. Hyphens at the end of a line have been removed, following as much as possible the conventions used in the original. Repeated quotation marks at the start of each line have been removed, except for the first, and those at the beginning of a new paragraph.
