56. Cocoanut Gingerbread.

½-lb. flour.
2-oz. sugar.
1 teaspoonful carbonate soda.
½-gill milk.
1 egg.
½-lb. treacle.
2-oz. butter.
¼-lb. cocoanut.
¼-oz. ginger.

Dissolve the butter and sugar and syrup and add the other ingredients and lastly the soda dissolved in milk. Bake 1 hour.
