Marble Cake.
Light.
- 1 cup white sugar.
- ½ cup butter.
- ½ cup milk.
- Whites of three eggs.
- 2 cups prepared flour.
Dark.
- ½ cup brown sugar.
- ¼ cup butter.
- ½ cup molasses.
- ¼ cup milk.
- ½ cup nutmeg.
- 1 teaspoonful cinnamon.
- ½ teaspoonful allspice.
- ½ teaspoonful soda.
- 2 cups flour.
- Yolks of three eggs.
Butter your mould, and put in the dark and light batter in alternate tablespoonfuls.
