Tipsy Cake.
- Ingredients—1 large sponge cake.
- 1 wineglass of sherry.
- 1 wineglass of brandy.
- 1 pint custard (see [Boiled Custard]).
- Some blanched almonds.
Method.—Put the cake on a glass dish.
Soak it with the sherry and brandy.
Pour over the custard, and stick blanched almonds well over it.
