Coffee Date Fudge
| Sugar (granulated), | 2 cups |
| Coffee, | 1 cup |
| (Not too strong, and strain through cheesecloth.) | |
| Butter, | 2 tablespoons |
| Dates (stoned), | ½ cup |
When the long stones were removed from the dates Betsey cut them each into four pieces.
