Ceux dans les Isles de long temps assiegez,

Prendront vigueur force contre ennemis,

Ceux par dehors morts de faim profligez,

En plus grand faim que jamais seront mis.

English.

Those in the Islands that have been long besieged,

Shall take vigour and force against their enemies,

Those without shall die for hunger; being overcome,

They shall be put in greater famine then they were before.

This Prophecy came to pass when the Spaniards Besieged Leyden in Holland, for the Dutch broke the Dikes, whereby the water came upon them so fast, that they were more besieged and starved then those of the Town, and their Army wholly destroyed.
