Les deux unis ne tiendront longuement,

Et dans treize ans au Barbare Satrape,

Aux deux costez feront tel perdement,

Qu’un benira la Barque & sa cappe.

English.

The two united shall not hold long,

Within thirteen years to the Barbarian Satrape,

They shall cause such loss on both sides,

That one shall bless the Boat and its covering.

ANNOT.

The word Satrape is a Persian word, signifying one of the Grandees at Court. By the last Verse is meant, one that shall save his life and make his escape, by the means of a covered Boat or Barge.
