La grand rumeur qui sera par la France,
Les impuissans voudront avoir puissance,
Langue emmiellée & vrais Cameleons,
De boutefeus, allumeurs de chandelles,
Pyes & Geais, rapporteurs de nouvelles,
Dont la morsure semblera Scorpions.
English.
The great rumor that shall be through France,
The impuissants would fain have power,
Honey Tongues, and true Camelions,
Bourefeux, and lighters of Candles,
Magpies and Jays, carriers of news,
Whose biting shall be like that of Scorpions.
