He has wrapped up that small box in a rug. A tui is a bag to hold odds and ends. Those bags we use are made of cotton.
10.—On a journey the beasts have to be fed as soon as one arrives at an inn.

12.—The beast which bears a load is called a t’u. One may speak of an ass, a mule, or a horse as a t’u.
