No. 1.
| Bay Oil | ½ | ounce |
| Oil of Pimento | ¼ | ounce |
| Alcohol | 3 | pints |
| Water | 3 | pints |
No. 2.
| Magnesium | ¼ | pound |
| Oil of Bay | ¼ | pound |
Mash them well together and put them in a filter and pour in two quarts of water. Let it filter slowly, and then add 2 quarts Alcohol.
