| Paraffine oil | 4 ounces |
| Capsicum powder | 1/2 ounce |
Digest on a sand bath and filter. To this may be added directly the following: Oil of wintergreen or peppermint, phenol, thymol, camphor or eucalyptol, etc.

| Oil of thyme | 1 ounce | |
| Oil of sassafras | 1 ounce | |
| Tincture of myrrh | 1 ounce | |
| Tincture of capsicum | 1 ounce | |
| Chloroform | 1 ounce | |
| Alcohol | 2 pints |
