He. "Parlez-vous Français, mademoiselle?"
She. "No, sir."
He. "Sprechen Sie Deutsch, Fraülein?"
She. "No."
He. "Habla usted Español, señorita?"
She. "No."
He. "Parlate Italiano, signorina?"
She. "No!" (Sighs.)
[Pause.
She. "Do you speak English, sir?"
He. "Hélas! non, mademoiselle!" (Sighs deeply.)
