THE USES OF BEAUTY.

Heart-throbs of Poesy;

Old storied walls;

Tint-beams of brilliancy

When daylight falls;

Floods of wild melody

Through palace-halls;

Twilight mists on the deep;

Keen stars above;

Woman’s sweet fellowship,

Holy home—Love;—

All that Earth preaches

By Beauty, is given

To train and to teach us,

And mould us for Heaven.
