IN THE WOODS.
In the woods the leaves are green,
In the woods a golden sheen
Falls upon the flowers;
In the woods the robin gay
Sings a happy roundelay,
Perched in bloomy bowers.
In the woods the squirrel flits
High among the trees, or sits
Basking in the light;
In the woods I love to lie,
Gazing at the blue, blue sky
With its clouds so bright.
