Lhude sing cuccu:
Groweth sed and bloweth med,
And springeth the wde nu
Sing cuccu.
Awe bleteth after lomb;
Lhouth after calve cu:
Bulluc sterteth,
Buck verteth,
Murie sing cuccu,
Cuccu, cuccu,
Wel singes this cuccu;
Ne swik thu naver.
