Was a splendid fellow,
With a coat of green,
And a crest of yellow.
He had lots of gold,
He was very lazy;
So he chose to scold
Modest little Daisy.

Just then some one passed,
Who his stick was swinging,
Chopped off Dandelion,
Stopped his accents stinging.

Daisy at the sight
Dropped a tear for sorrow,

Gazing with delight
