“White Cliff—Pepper Cliff—Cliff and Cliff Ancey,
Lyneham and lo—e Clack,

[410] A native of this part, and at the top of Merry-Andrewism.

[411] Christian Malford, no doubt, was a bad ford for the monks that came down the Avon to the surrounding abbeys.
