“Wardens!”
A correspondent says, that about, or before this time, it is the custom at Bedford, now abouts, for boys to cry baked pears in the town with the following stanza—
“Who knows what I have got?
In a pot hot?
Baked Wardens—all hot!
Who knows what I have got?”
