“Everything you proclaim is quite right,
But to arm the poor nigger is not quite the thing,
For two blacks never yet made a white.”
“You are wrong, they are equal, no matter their hue,
And I’ll prove that in judgment you lack:
Only give me your help, and united I’ll prove,
That two whites can at least make a black.”
