Blossom club-shaped, an inch long, white and downy, the segments of the mouth are spread outward.
Chives. Eight hair-like threads, tips beardless, and just within the blossom.
Pointal. Seed-vessel turban-shaped, the top-being crowned with long hairs. Shaft thread-shaped, and without the blossom. Summit four-cornered.
Native of the Cape of Good Hope.
Flowers from July till December.
