Corolla cylindraceo-urceolata, purpureo-pulverulenta; laciniis limbi obtusis, sub-erectis.
Stamina. Filamenta octo capillaria; antheræ cristatæ, inclusæ.
Pistillum. Germen tiaræforme, ad basin glandulosum; stylus filiformis, erectus, inclusus.
Habitat ad Caput Bonæ Spei.
Floret a mense Julii in Octobrem.

SPECIFIC CHARACTER.
Heath, with crested tips within the blossom; flowers pitcher-shaped, terminating the branches by threes, of a powdery purple; leaves by threes, crowded, blunt, and downy; the large and smaller branches are numerous.
