SPECIFIC CHARACTER.
Heath, with beardless tips, within the blossoms; which grow by fours, are very slender, and yellow. Leaves by threes and fours, and linear.
DESCRIPTION.
Stem shrubby, a foot high, weak. The large and small branches are thread-shaped, and twiggy.
Leaves by threes and fours, linear, with long foot-stalks pressed to the branches.
Flowers grow by fours at the ends of the small branches, and spreading; with very short foot-stalks.
Empalement. Cup double; the outer three-leaved, and leaflets lance-shaped; the inner one four-leaved, and longer than the outer.
Blossom trumpet-shaped, very slender, and yellow; segments of the border sharp-pointed and spreading.
