SPECIFIC CHARACTER.

Heath, with beardless tips within the blossom: flowers grow by fours, slender, and white: leaves by fours, linear, and smooth: stem slender.

DESCRIPTION.

Stem shrubby, weak, a foot or more high: the small and large branches are thread-shaped, and twiggy.

Leaves by fours, linear, blunt, smooth, erect, and spreading.

Flowers grow by fours at the ends of the small branches: footstalks short, and furnished with three awl-shaped floral leaves.
