SPECIFIC CHARACTER.

Heath, with beardless tips, within the blossom: flowers solitary, hanging down; footstalks long; blossom skittle-shaped; leaves by threes; stem upright and brittle.

DESCRIPTION.

Stem brittle, a foot and a half high, upright, and shrubby, with numerous small branches.

Leaves by threes, linear, bowed, pointed, smooth, and bundled.

Flowers grow singly, hanging down, and forming a loose spike about the middle of the branches: footstalks long, and coloured, with three minute floral leaves on the lower part.
