DESCRIPTION.
Tips beardless, without the blossom, and black. Flowers grow from the ends of the small branches, mostly by threes. Blossom bell-shaped and white; the segments of the mouth are rolled back, and larger than the tube. Leaves by threes, smooth, shining, nearly three-sided, blunt, and thick. Stem shrubby, upright, a foot high. The larger and smaller branches are numerous, nearly upright, and twiggy.
Native of the Cape of Good Hope.
In bloom from April till July.
