DESCRIPTIO.

Antheræ muticæ, sub-inclusæ. Flores in ramis verticillati, erecto-patentes. Corolla clavata, pollicaris, alba, pubescens. Folia sena, conferta, uncialia, linearia, tremulenta. Pedunculi longissimi. Caulis tripedalis, erectus; ramis simplicibus, adscendentibus.

DESCRIPTION.

Tips beardless, and just within the blossom. Flowers grow in whorls upon the branches, upright and spreading. Blossom club-shaped, an inch long, white, and downy. Leaves by sixes, crowded, an inch long, linear, and tremulous. Footstalks very long. Stem three feet high, upright; with simple ascending branches.

Native of the Cape of Good Hope.
In bloom from July till December.
