At length he could no longer eat.

Not so the goblin; he devour’d

The hard bones, golden dish, and all:

He roll’d his eyes around the board,

And for more viands fain would call.

Now loudly laugh’d the giant crew;

E’en Thor the serious laugh’d outright:
