May the receiving of this sacrament, O Lord, Our God, avail to the salvation of body and soul, together with the confession of an everlasting Holy Trinity, and of the undivided unity thereof. Through Our Lord Jesus Christ, Thy Son, Who liveth and reigneth with Thee in the unity of the Holy Ghost, world without end. Amen.

May the oblation of this divine sacrament, we beseech Thee, O Lord, both cleanse and defend [pg 581] us; and by the intercession of the blessed Mary, the virgin Mother of God, of St. Joseph, of the blessed apostles Peter and Paul, and of all the saints, free us from all sin, and deliver us from all adversity. Through the same Jesus Christ, Thy Son, Our Lord, Who liveth and reigneth with Thee in the unity of the Holy Ghost, world without end. Amen.
