This zinc cover introduced by H. Taylor, Esq., for his cottage hive (No. 14) will also be found useful as a protection from wet for many other descriptions of round straw hives.

BELL GLASSES.

25. 26. 27.

25. To contain 10 lbs., 10 inches high, 7 inches wide.

26. To contain 6 lbs., 7 inches high, 5½ inches wide.

27. To contain 3 lbs., 5 inches high, 4 inches wide.

These bell glasses are used in the hives before described. No. 25 is for Nutt's Hive (No. 1); No. 26 is for our Improved Cottage Hive (No. 5); No. 27 is a very small glass, one that is not often used, and which we do not recommend. Bees will generally fill a middle sized glass quite as soon as one so small as this.

BELL GLASSES. No. 24.

These glasses have been introduced by Mr. Taylor, and are recommended as preferable to deep narrow glasses.
