1 Pr. Knitting Needles No. 6 and No. 8 OR ANY SIZE NEEDLES WHICH WILL RESULT IN STITCH GAUGE BELOW.

GAUGE: For No. 8 needles: 5 sts = 1 inch

Directions are given for Small size. Changes for Medium and Large sizes are given in parentheses.

MEASUREMENTS:

Width across back at underarm:

16 (17, 18) inches.

Width across each front at underarm:

8 (9, 9) inches.

BACK: With No. 6 needles and Lilac cast on 81 (85, 89) sts. 1st ROW: K 1, * P 1, K 1, repeat from * across row. 2nd ROW: P 1, * K 1, P 1, repeat from * across row. Repeat 1st and 2nd rows twice. NEXT ROW: Repeat 1st row. NEXT 2 ROWS: START BORDER: K across each row, cut Lilac. NEXT 2 ROWS: Attach Lt. Navy, K across each row, drop Lt. Navy. NEXT ROW: Attach Hot Pink, K across row. NEXT ROW: P across row, drop Hot Pink. Repeat last 4 rows once, cut Hot Pink. NEXT 2 ROWS: With Lt. Navy, K across each row, cut Lt. Navy. NEXT 2 ROWS: Change to No. 8 needles and with Lilac, K across each row.
