HAT

Work same as scarf for 18 inches. Cut yarn ¾ yd. long for weaving. Weave same as scarf but do not leave lengths for fringes. Sew back seam.

CROWN: With Black ch 3, join. Ch 3 (counts as 1st d c), 11 d c in ring. Do not join this or any following rounds. Place a marker at beg of rounds. NEXT ROUND: S c in next st, 2 s c in next st, repeat from beg all around. NEXT ROUND: 1 s c in each of next 2 sts, 2 s c in next st, repeat from beg all around. Continue to inc in same manner having 1 s c more between inc in each round until Crown measures 6 inches in diameter. Join to top of hat with a row of s c, join, cut yarn. Attach Black at other edge and work a round of s c. Without joining continue in rounds of s c for 1 inch, join, cut yarn.
