Materials Required: AMERICAN THREAD DAWN “WINTUK” SPORT YARN SIZE 3—2 oz. skeins Beige 1—2 oz. skein each Watermelon and Gold Plastic Crochet Hook Size J OR ANY SIZE HOOK WHICH WILL RESULT IN STITCH GAUGE BELOW. GAUGE: 7 shells = 5 inches

With Watermelon ch 251, s c in 2nd st from hook, 2 d c in same space, * skip 2 sts of ch, 1 s c, 2 d c in next st of ch, repeat from * across ch ending last repeat with 1 s c in last st of ch to complete last shell, ch 1, turn. 2nd ROW: 1 s c, 2 d c in s c (shell), * shell in next s c of next shell, repeat from * across row ending with 1 s c in s c of last shell, ch 1, turn. Repeat the last row for pattern. Work next 2 rows in Gold, next 2 rows in Watermelon, next 17 rows in Beige, cut yarn. Attach Watermelon on opposite side of starting ch of 1st row in st where shell is worked, work a row of shells across row working in same sts with shells of 1st row, cut yarn.

FRINGE: Wind yarn over a 7 inch cardboard, cut one end. Double in half and knot on side of row. Work fringe in every other row, matching color stripes.
