Fringe: Wind yarn over an 8¹⁄₂ inch cardboard, cut one end. Using 4 strands, double in half and knot through each hole across starting end and finishing end. Cut strands same length for each side but place 1st fringe in 1st hole, * skip next hole, place a fringe in next garter st row, skip next hole, place a fringe in next hole, repeat from * across side. Finish opposite side in same manner. * Using half of 1 group of fringe and half of next group of fringe knot together about ¹⁄₂ inch from last row of knots, repeat from * all around.
