The glorious leader ’gainst our enemies.
Thou art Truth’s champion for the domain wide
Ye twain shall conquer fighting side by side.
Knowledge and Freedom are thy great allies.
Thus thou art strong, and able thou to cope
With all thy enemies that yet remain.
They fly already from the open plain,
And climb, hard-pressed, far up the rugged slope.
We hear thy bugle sound o’er land and sea
And know that victory abides with thee.
