Then followed the chorus:—

"Cuccu, cuccu, well singes thu, cuccu,

Ne cease thu never nu.

Sing cuccu, nu, sing, cuccu,

Sing cuccu, sing cuccu nu!"

Next came a quaint request from a sturdy throat which delighted especially those at the lower tables:—
