[62] uti (Beyte) cognosceret more ingenii (MSS.). more ingenii may be corrupt. If it may stand, it must mean 'as his nature prompted him', i.e. to satisfy his curiosity.

[64] modificabor, tanto a vobis in maius tolletur. So all editions before Van der Vliet. The words tanto ... tolletur have no MS. support, but some such insertion is necessary for the sense.
