Bellarmines with English arms of especialinterest are of considerably greatervalue, though not always of Englishorigin. Exceptional pieces bring exceptionalprices.
Dwight.
All specimens of Dwight are extremelyrare. It is impossible to say what aDwight stoneware figure or bust wouldrealise at auction, but certainly a veryhigh figure.
Elers.
Elers teapots, &c., are rare. The smallerlighter coloured teapots of the trueElers ware are worth as many half-sovereignsas the later coarser examplesare worth shillings.
Astbury.
A similar difficulty arises in attempting tostate prices for Astbury stoneware.Fine examples rarely come into themarket.
Fulham.
G. R. jugs ascribed to Fulham may bebought from 15s. to £1 10s., accordingto condition and decoration. Thelarge jugs and mugs with medallionbusts of William and Mary, inscribedand dated, vary in price from £3 to£5 and upwards.
Nottingham.
Bear jugs of coarse type may be procured
from £1 10s. to

Tall Loving Cups, inscribed with name and
date, vary from £2 to

The Russian Bear model hugging Bonaparte
is worth £5 or more.
Nottingham ale jugs, dated and inscribed,
have realised £12 under the hammer.
