Xaira. He stays a long time.

A Priest. Very long.

Another. The time is swiftly passing.

A Third. ’Tis now past noon.

Xaira. What could the king want with him?

A Priest. The messenger was wholly ignorant.

Another. All he knew was, that the king required to speak with the High-Priest, before sentence should be pronounced upon Cora.

Xaira. ’Tis very extraordinary.
